Baloo Stack ‘Em Game

Thanks to Smucker’s® Uncrustables® for sponsoring this article.

You never know what animals you may encounter floating downriver on the Jungle Cruise® attraction at Disney Parks. After all, tropical forests are home to a whole host of creatures adept at getting by on “bare necessities.” Inspired by a certain dancing bear with a knack for balancing a tower of colorful tasty fruits, here’s a fun game in which family members stack up a flavorful lunch.

What You'll Need
8 Uncrustables® Sandwiches – Grape
Template for Baloo Stack 'Em Game
Bright colored cardstock (yellow, red, green, and purple)
White cardstock (or sticker paper)
Glue dots or clear tape
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
How To Play
  • 1

Take the Uncrustables® Sandwiches out of the freezer and set them aside to thaw for 30-60 minutes.

  • 2

Print the template on white cardstock or sticker paper, then cut out the Baloo “stickers.”

  • 3

Cut two 3- by 11-inch rectangles from each of the four bright colors of cardstock.

  • 4

Set one rectangle on a flat surface with the short ends on the sides. Lightly pencil a vertical line 3½ inches in from both sides. Then mark a second pair of lines 1-inch further in (toward the center) from the first set.

  • 5

Crease the cardstock along the lines. Then wrap the colored sleeve around an Uncrustables® Sandwich, as shown, overlapping the flaps by ½ inch or so and sticking them in place with glue dots or clear tape.

  • 6

Flip the color-wrapped Uncrustables® Sandwich over and use more glue dots or rolled pieces of tape to attach a Baloo sticker to the center of the cardstock sleeve. Use the remaining rectangles and Baloo stickers to make seven more sleeves.

  • 7

When you’re ready to play the game, the first person selects an Uncrustables® Sandwich from the stash and names a fruit that is the same color as the sleeve before setting it down on the middle of the table. For example, a banana or lemon could be named for a yellow sleeve. The next person chooses a different color (let’s say green) and names a fruit of that hue (lime, grapes, kiwi, etc.) before stacking the second Uncrustables® Sandwich atop the first.

The goal is to add all the Uncrustables® Sandwiches without toppling the stack — and without repeating a fruit name or placing two with the same color sleeve in a row. Afterwards, serve the Uncrustables® Sandwiches with your family’s favorite beverage for lunch.
