We are so excited to share all of the fun we’ve been having at Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! This annual event, which runs from March 2 – April 12, 2018, highlights some of our favorite things — food, entertainment, Disney … and did we mention food?
This year, the marketplace boasts 13 delectable food and beverage booths, in addition to a variety of great food-related activities for guests of all ages to partake in. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about visiting Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival with your family.
Enjoying meals together as a family is important for us, so getting to spend time with our kids while indulging in some delectable, memory-making food is always special. We love being able to enjoy food items that make each member of our families happy. The gourmet mac and cheese options are always a hit for our kids! And not only do they have meals perfect for our picky eaters, but they also have allergen-free options for everyone.
One suggestion we have for all festival-goers is to pick up a complimentary Tasting Passport, along with an area map. They are available at every kiosk, and with it you can review menu items available at each booth. These guides will help make the most of your time at the festival. You’ll know exactly what foods you’d like to try, as well as where to find them.
We also love that the Tasting Passport has a space alongside each booth’s page, so you can receive a stamp as you eat your way around the park. Pick up a complimentary chef’s hat upon walking through the park gates, and it can be stamped at each booth too! Disney magic all around!
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival offers special entertainment each year, which we really love. If you’re visiting with little ones, we recommend “Jammin’ Chefs with Chef Mac-aroni & Chip ‘n’ Dale,” and “Jr. Chef” with Chef Goofy!
Jammin’ Chefs takes place in front of Ariel’s Undersea Adventure around 6 times daily — and your kids can even participate in the jam session! Jr. Chef with Chef Goofy has 3-4 show times daily on the Hollywood Backlot stage. Children age 3-12 may participate and learn how to work together in the kitchen by mixing up some delicious “Magical Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.” They can even bring a treat home!
The Hollywood Backlot stage is also home to free, family-friendly cooking seminars, happening every Friday-Sunday. These 20 to 30 minute demonstrations are fun, informative, and focus on getting families together in the kitchen. The best part? These seminars do not require a special reservation. Simply arrive a few minutes before show time and learn something new from a real chef! Seating is first come, first serve.
Lastly, the Hollywood Backlot also offers dedicated space for your kiddos to get artsy! Complimentary coloring tables are such a fun way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival is happening now through April 12, 2018. Be sure to check it out if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Resort — fun and good food awaits!
