Craft a Little Library for Your Kiddos to Share Their Favorite Books

There’s something so magical about reading—our kids get transported to a world filled with wonder and fantasy. And when Disney is added to the mix, there’s nothing they would rather do!

That’s why we love Little Free Libraries. You’ve probably seen them pop up in your neighborhood—they’re a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange, and a great way for your family to share their favorite books with their community.

In celebration of reading, we created our own Little Free Library inspired by one of our favorite Disney•Pixar movies—Up. With some paint, Carl and Russell printables, balsa wood, craft and wood glue, and sealant, we built a house for many adventures.

While your kiddos might not be crafting their own Little Free Library, they can get involved in the book sharing by turning a small shelving unit, shipping box, old suitcase, or more into a library for their friends and siblings to swap books.

You can also make it a fun trip around the neighborhood to find a Little Free Library or see if one of the nine new Little Marvel Libraries is available near you.
