Ready for a glance into the most magical cruise you will ever take? Disney Cruise Line has added some incomparable offerings to its already spectacular sailings on the Disney Magic. Rapunzel’s Royal Table allows cruisers of all ages to experience Tangled in a way that it has never been experienced before.
I do have to admit that I was probably more excited for this than my kids, which is saying a lot. I saw Tangled in theaters long before my daughter was born. I had butterflies in my tummy for weeks following and haven’t stopped singing the songs since. I love everything it stands for—its themes of bravery, kindness, empathy, redemption, and family. Saying we were excited for this night is a vast understatement.
On the night our group was assigned Rapunzel’s Royal Table for dinner, we were surprised with Tangled-themed macarons delivered to our stateroom! Who doesn’t love a good Disney-themed treat!?
The Tangled details were so fun as we walked through the doors. The kids were feeling very Royal. We were so ready to be transported to the Snuggly Duckling!
We were immediately introduced to the hilarious “Ruffians and Thugs” as they lined the hallway to greet the guests and Goldie loved the interaction she was able to have with them. Her favorite was Vladimir who happened to have two ceramic unicorns on hand! These details are so special and so unique to a Disney experience.
As we were shown to our table, we were serenaded by a fantastic trio, “The Royal Revelers”, and the whole room enveloped us in its magic. It was like stepping right into a fairy tale world. Rapunzel’s murals line the walls and lighted lanterns fill the “sky.”
We enjoyed both the themed adult menus and the activity filled menus for the kids that turned into paper lanterns. The special drink was cleverly called “The Smolder.” The bread service included fresh hot pretzels with a delicious mustard dipping sauce—my kids probably ate a week’s supply of it!
Rapunzel and her crew entertained us throughout a delicious meal of Tangled-themed eats, complete with songs and dancing. The evening concluded with a “Kingdom Dance” in which all the kiddos got to participate. This is the stuff dreams are made of!
If you are like us and can’t get enough of Tangled, you’re in luck! The Disney Magic is also home to “Tangled: The Musical,” a broadway style show that will have you smiling from ear-to-ear. Alan Menken even wrote new songs just for the show. I know, I was freaking out too!
As if I haven’t said it enough, I highly encourage you to to catch Rapunzel’s Royal Table aboard the Disney Magic. It’s an experience your family will never forget.
