It’s time to jump into the RV and hit the highway for an entertaining and adventurous trip, just like Woody and the gang in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4, coming to theatres June 21!
And what’s the best part of a successful RV camping trip? Well, the s’mores, of course!
So, round up some friends and family and gather ‘round the campfire as we share some snack time fun inspired by Toy Story 4’s greatest stuntman, Duke Caboom!
What You’ll Need:
– Heavy duty aluminum foil
– Popcorn kernels
– Vegetable oil
– Long metal tongs
– Mini chocolate chips
– Favorite cereal
– Mini marshmallows
– Paper bags
– Glue stick
OPTIONAL: salt or other seasoning ingredients
Let’s Get Started!
Tear an 18 inch or so piece of heavy-duty foil. Place 2 tablespoons of kernels into the center of the foil. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil directly onto the kernels.
Fold the foil over your kernel pile. To create an envelope, crimp the edges tightly every couple of folds making sure not to get too close to the kernels as they need room to pop and expand.
At the top edge, make sure you have secured several layers folded tightly together, so you can easily grab it with your metal tongs.
CHILDREN: Grab your Duke Caboom print out and with your scissors, cut along the edges.
Next, using your glue stick, glue Duke Caboom to the front of your paper bag.
ADULTS: When you are ready to make your popcorn, grab your envelope with the tongs and place your packet over the fire grate. Don’t put it directly into the fire!
Be sure to shake it every so often-but not so much that it falls into the fire. Once you start hearing pops you know the popcorn is popping and as it slows down you know it’s finished! Note: there isn’t that much popcorn in there so it shouldn’t take long.
ADULTS ONLY: Using the tongs, remove the envelope from the fire and open the packet carefully. There will be steam and it will be hot!
Pour the popcorn into the paper bag; option to add a pinch of salt or other seasonings.
NOW THE FUN PART!
Let your child add the s’mores ingredients: chocolate chips, cereal, and marshmallows to the paper bag. Help your child fold over the top of the bag and gently shake it up! Open and enjoy!
Friends, family, a campfire, and yummy snacks! This has all the makings of the perfect RV road trip. Don’t forget to bring a few of your favorite toys with you in the RV and see Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 in theatres June 21!
