Lucinda

Fun fact: this is actually a made up name! Author of Don Quixote,¬†Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, created the name for the novel, basing it off the name¬†Lucia. While Lucia is currently Spain’s most popular girls name, Lucinda hasn’t been in the Top 1,000 names in the US since 1987, so it would be a very uncommon choice today. Despite its age, it has a modern feel and could be used as a tribute name to replace the outdated Linda or Melinda.
