We Love These Adorable DIY Donald Duck & Eeyore Eggshell Vases

Delight your family by making these mini eggshell vases and adding them to your home decor. With some paint and colored cardstock, you can transform an eggshell into your favorite Tsum Tsum. It’s an adorable way to showcase tiny spring blooms. Now let’s get cracking!

What You’ll Need

  • Large white eggs
  • Acrylic paint (light purple, tan, black, white, orange, and pink)
  • Black felt pen
  • Cardstock (light purple, pink, blue, black, and red)
  • Small paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Small flowers and leaves

How To Make It

  1. Tap the top of an egg with a knife to form a crack and gently peel off the top shell. Pour out the egg contents in a bowl. Gently wash the inside of the egg shell thoroughly. Let the eggs dry upside down while you bake or cook a favorite recipe with the egg.
  2. Once dry, begin to paint the egg shells.
  3. For Eeyore, paint the entire egg purple and let dry. Then paint the bottom portion tan. For Donald, give the entire egg a coat of white.
  4. Cut out your paper pieces. For Eeyore, cut out purple and pink for his ears, arms from purple, and a purple strip for the base. For Donald, cut out a white strip for the base, arms from white, a red bow, and his hat from blue and black.
  5. Use a hot glue gun to attach Eeyore’s ears onto the sides of the egg. Glue on Donald’s hat and bow.
  6. With a black felt pen, draw on the details of Eeyore and the eyes on Donald. You can draw an outline with a pencil first to help guide you. Use black paint for Eeyore’s hair. Use orange paint for Donald’s nose and pink for his cheeks.
  7. Wrap the paper bases around the bottom of the eggs and glue the ends together. Then glue the arms onto the bottom of the egg.
  8. For the optional headband, cut out a strip of white and yellow paper to fit over the head. Next, cut out bunny ears and a yellow tuft of hair and glue behind each headband. Use a felt pen to draw the eyes and nose. Glue the headband together and place on top of each egg.
  9. Insert small flowers and leaves inside the vase with a little bit of water.

All cutting and hot gluing should be done by an adult.
