Whenever I have art supplies out, my son wants to play along and “help,” so it’s about time I let him create his own masterpiece during some “mommy and me” time.
So, we got some watercolors out for this quick and easy craft! I simply printed the Mary Poppins quote and my little one painted the inside of the heart. The final product showcases his “practically perfect” artwork.
This is a fun project that your kiddo can be a part of without you having to invest too much time or supplies. The memorable quote from Mary Poppins looks precious after being decorated and framed, but it also serves as a wonderful reminder to all moms that we’re doing the best we can at this whole parenting thing. This is so important to remember all year—but especially around Mother’s Day!

What You’ll Need
- Printable quote
- Paper trimmer or scissors (optional)
How To Make It
- Print out the ‘Mary Poppins’ quote and encourage your kiddo to color any part of the printable.
- It’s not necessary to stay inside the lines and if the ink from the printer bleeds a little, it only makes it even more original.
- After the artistic creation is dry, trim the paper to fit the frame if needed.
- Insert into frame.
All cutting should be done by an adult.
