What You’ll Need

  • Pumpkin
  • Pencil
  • Black paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Printable Mickey template (for the ears)
  • Cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Black and purple craft foam
  • Hot glue
  • Pumpkin
  • White paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Gauze, strips of white cotton, or toilet paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Printable Mickey template (for the ears)
  • Cardstock
  • Black and white craft foam

How To Make It

  1. Make the Mickey Vampire Pumpkin: Using your pencil, sketch Mickey’s face shape onto the pumpkin.
  2. Paint everything outside this line black.
  3. As the paint is drying, download, print, and cut out the Mickey template. Use this to create his ears with the black foam. Then create his facial features with the foam (don’t forget to include little fangs!).
  4. Once the paint is completely dry, glue on the ears and features.
  5. Cut out a long piece of purple foam so that it wraps around the whole pumpkin. (You may need to glue 2 pieces together for the correct length.)
  6. Glue 2 corners to the bottom front of Mickey—with the rest of the foam going around the back. Lift up the back to accentuate the collar shape.
  7. Glue all the pieces on and let them dry completely.
  8. Now, make the Mickey Mummy Pumpkin: Paint the entire pumpkin white.
  9. Once the paint is completely dry, glue 1 end of the gauze to the back of the pumpkin and start wrapping it tightly until he’s completely covered. Glue the gauze to the back and trim.
  10. Download, print, and cut out the Mickey template. Use it to create his ears out of white foam. Then make his facial features with black foam.
  11. Glue all the pieces on and let them dry completely.

All cutting and gluing should be done by an adult.
