Let’s be honest—Mickey-shaped recipes make any party better. For instance, one of my favorite nostalgic treats are those pink and white animal cookies with sprinkles. I decided to recreate them but with a Mickey spin—and don’t you just love them?!
This recipe is perfect as a fun activity to do with your kids and it makes for super colorful party treats.

Mickey Animal Cookies
- 1 Cup white sugar
- 3/4 Cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 Tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tsp baking powder
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- Mickey cookie cutter
- 1 bag white candy melts
- 1 bag pink candy melts
- Rainbow sprinkles
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cover and chill dough for at least an hour.
Preheat oven to 400° F. Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4-1/2″ thick. Use a Mickey cookie cutter to cut shapes out of dough. Place cookies 1” apart on greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 6-8 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely.
Place the candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls and melt in the microwave. Stir with a fork to make a glaze.
Dip the Mickey cookies into the glaze so that the front of the cookies are entirely covered. Place on a cooling rack and add rainbow sprinkles. Let the glaze harden and serve.
