When it comes to the Halloween season, candy corn is absolutely essential! This classic treat inspired us to make these adorable Mickey-shaped Candy Corn Cookies.
We love these cookies because they are simple to put together, and are so festive and fun. Plus, they give us an excuse to use our favorite Mickey cookie cutter! For extra decadence, spread melted dark chocolate on the backs of the cookies.

- Mickey cookie cutter
Always use caution when handling sharp objects and hot contents. Please supervise children who are helping or nearby.
Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Divide your dough in thirds. Dye one third of the dough yellow by mixing in yellow food coloring. Dye another third of dough orange by mixing in orange food coloring.
Roll out each third of dough between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper, to about ⅓-inch thick. Cut strips of dough, with each strip wide enough to be at least ⅓ the size of your cookie cutter. For example, my Mickey cookie cutter was about 3½-inches, so each of my strips were about 1¼-inch wide.
Place three strips of dough next to each other, with the plain-colored dough on top, the orange dough in the middle, and the yellow dough on the bottom. Roll slightly to press strips together.
Cut out Mickey shapes with a cookie cutter. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Chilling will keep the dough spread less.
Place cookies on lined cookie sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
