Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Cookies & White Hot Chocolate
- 4 cups of milk
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon
- Ground nutmeg
- Whipped cream
- Gingerbread dough
- White royal icing
- Mickey cookie cutter
- Butter knife
All stovetop cooking should be done by an adult.
Use your favorite gingerbread cookie recipe to prepare the gingerbread dough.
Roll out your dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out Mickey shapes.
Slice a small rectangle out of the bottom of the cookie. This is where it will rest on the rim of the mug.
Bake cookies according to the recipe instructions. While cooling, prepare your icing.
Place icing in a plastic sandwich bag. Squeeze and twist to push the icing into the corner of the bag. Cut a very small bit of the corner off the bag, and now you have a homemade piping bag!
Once the cookies have cooled, begin to decorate.
To prepare the white hot chocolate, pour milk and white chocolate chips into a small pot over medium-low heat and stir. Continue to stir until completely melted and combined.
Add vanilla extract, a pinch of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Pour into mugs. Add whipped cream, cinnamon, and sprinkles on top.
Finally, add a Mickey gingerbread cookie to each rim.
