  • Your favorite cupcake recipe
  • White icing
  • Pink icing
  • Chocolate icing
  • Chocolate cookie sandwiches
  • 32 ounces black candy melts or chocolate
  • 8 ounces purple candy melts
  • 8 ounces blue candy melts
  • 8 ounces light blue candy melts
  • Assorted star sprinkles
  • Edible glitter dust
  • Small spatulas or plastic knives for frosting cupcakes
  • Piping bags or plastic bags and scissors to draw snowflake details

  1. To prepare galaxy bark, melt black candy melts or chocolate in the microwave at 20-second intervals until completely melted. Spread evenly into a foil-lined baking sheet. Melt blue, light blue and purple candy colors. Drop spoonfuls of purple, blue, and light blue around the bark and lightly swirl the colors together. This should create a galaxy look. Sprinkle star sprinkles on top. Let cool and harden completely. Brush edible glitter dust on top. Break into chunks and pack into storage containers to take to school.

  2. Prepare and bake your favorite cupcake recipe. Let cool before packing into storage containers to take to school.

  3. Avoid messes and keep cookie decorating kid-friendly by transferring small amounts of sprinkles and frosting into small handheld containers.

  4. Upon arrival at school, set up your cupcake decorating station. Transfer small amounts of icing into individual plastic bags for kids to use to draw faces and characters onto the cupcakes. Trim one corner of the plastic bag to begin piping.

  5. To create Leia’s iconic look as we have, use a dab of frosting to add a chocolate cookie sandwich to each side of the cupcake.

  6. The force is strong with these treats. Enjoy!
