Sven Bread

Ingredients

  • Roll of store-bought crescent roll dough
  • Food coloring
  • Toothpicks
  • Marzipan

Helpful Tip

All cutting should be done by an adult.

Directions

  1. Unroll the dough and cut out Sven’s head shape.

  2. Roll up a small ball of dough and smooth it out as his nose and mouth.

  3. Roll up two long pieces for his antlers.

  4. Form the rest of the antler points and ears.

  5. Lay on a buttered cookie tray and follow baking instructions on dough packaging.

  6. While they’re baking, mix 2 drops red, and 1 drop yellow, blue, and green food coloring in a small bowl.

  7. Use a toothpick to mix the coloring and apply to a small ball of marzipan.

  8. Kneed the marzipan until it’s evenly brown.

  9. Take the rolls out of the oven and let them cool.

  10. Create marzipan eyes for Sven out of plain marzipan and your dyed brown marzipan. Simply press on to apply.

  11. Finally, make his nostrils and mouth with the brown marzipan.
