Life is the bubbles with this colorful homemade pop tart inspired by The Little Mermaid!
The Little Mermaid Pop Tart
- Puff pastry
- Strawberry jam
- Royal icing
- Edible dust
Place puff pastry horizontally on a cutting board. Divide and cut the puff pastry into four rectangular pieces.
Add a couple spoonfuls of strawberry jam (or any jam of your choice) and spread onto two of the puff pastry pieces.
Place the plain puff pastry pieces on top of the puff pastry pieces with jam. With a fork, crimp the edges of each pop tart, fusing the two pieces together and sealing in the jam.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Use turquoise royal icing to create a wave of frosting across the top of each of your pop tart.
Add sprinkles and sea-inspired chocolates.
Use a pastry bag to pipe a dinglehopper onto the icing. Paint over the dinglehopper with silver edible dust to give it a metallic finish.
Serve and enjoy!
