Woody & Buzz Bento Box
- 1 Mini Babybel® Original Cheese
- 1/2 a mango
- 1/2 a red bell pepper
- 1/2 slice whole wheat bread
- 1 slice carrot
- 1/2 green apple
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 strawberry
- 1/2 piece red cabbage
- 1 chive
- Cowboy hat cookie cutter or kitchen scissors
- Star cookie cutter
- 3-compartment bento box
All cutting should be done by an adult. Also, this recipe gets a Disney Check. It’s a quick and easy way for families to identify better foods and beverages that meet Disney’s nutrition guideline criteria, and helps kids and parents agree on better choices.
Using either a cookie cutter or kitchen scissors, cut out a cowboy hat from a slice of whole wheat bread, then toast it (preferably in a toaster oven).
Using a star cookie cutter, cut out a small star from a slice of carrot.
Using a knife, cut the red bell pepper into strips. Then, cut the mango into slices.
Place the mango in the large section of the bento box, enough to cover the entire section in 1 even layer. Then, arrange the red bell pepper strips atop the mango to create a crisscross pattern like that of Woody’s shirt. Place the cowboy toast and carrot star atop the peppers.
Using a knife, cut the apple into thick slices. Cut out the center of the wings from one slice. Then, cut out the sides of the wing from another slice. Coat both these pieces with lemon juice.
Using a knife, cut out the green wing details from the skin of the remaining green apple. Cut out the red wing details from strawberry, and the purple details from a leaf of red cabbage. Cut a piece of chive into small pieces to create the dark green wing details.
Place Mini Babybel cheese in the bento box and you’re done!
