This Winnie the Pooh Pull-Apart Cake is straight from the Hundred Acre Wood, and will delight your family and friends. It’s made by frosting miniature cupcakes together to create an adorable, little Pooh Tsum Tsum cake.
Have more guests visiting? There’s enough to go around. Add more cupcakes to make a larger cake so everyone can enjoy!

Winnie the Pooh Pull-Apart Cake
- 1 box yellow cake mix + required ingredients
- 3 sticks unsalted butter
- 2 Cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsps milk
- 1/2 Tsp vanilla
- Yellow, orange, and black gel food coloring
- Pastry bags
- Offset spatula
- Mini red cupcake liners
All cutting should be done by an adult.
Bake mini cupcakes according to the box, and let cool.
On a large tray, arrange 13 mini cupcakes in a circle and place 2 at the top for Pooh’s ears.
With a hand or stand mixer, beat the butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla together for 3 minutes until fluffy.
Dye a small amount of frosting with the black food coloring and add to a pastry bag. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix a few drops of yellow dye, a drop of orange dye, and the remaining frosting. Fill a pastry bag.
Snip the end off and pipe frosting over the cupcakes. Pipe dollops over Pooh’s ears.
Spread evenly with an offset spatula.
After snipping the end off, use the pastry bag with the black frosting to pipe Pooh’s eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouth.
